Welcome to Operational and Dynamic Risks Group
Overview
GRODin seeks to develop research and technologies in the areas of human factors, reliability of equipment, water and energy. The group emerged in 2011 with the leadership and supervision of Prof. Dr. Salvador Ávila Filho, at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Polytechnic School of the Federal University of Bahia
The research group is a pioneer in the country, because it is proposed to jointly study human behavior, mechanical reliability and energy performance analysis. Thus, the researches seek to identify the different elements in an integrated way, investigating the influence of each theme on the risks and the operational dynamics.
Goal
Due to the current economic and climatic scenario, it is becoming increasingly necessary to optimize processes to reduce energy losses and increase efficiency and productivity. With this vision, we seek to discuss risk dynamics in critical and routine situations to provide tools to aid in decision-making.
We seek to train professionals so that they can modernize and meet the demands of society, discussing how cultural aspects, behavior and human factors modify and create new mechanisms within environments.
